Finally put the spit-polish on the colors for the third cover for the Out of Step finale arc:
Greg Nicotero from KNB EFX takes us behind the scenes of bringing “Bicycle Girl” to (un)life for this fall’s Walking Dead pilot.
i’ve used the word “surreal” a lot, but it still barely scratches the surface.

So, FrankenCastle #19 hit the shelves last week. Rick and I are immensely proud of it, and it thrills us that apparently some readers are enjoying the ride, as well.
From Benjamin Birdie’s rave at ComicBookResources.com:
…when Rick Remender and Tony Moore work together to make comics about a reanimated Frank Castle doing pretty much anything, when you’re finished and you put it down, there’s really only one thing running through your head like a suspended Buick chassis rigged to slam you into a brick wall: “This is the best damn comic I have ever read.”
And an excerpt from Chad Derdowski’s Mania.com review:
At this point, I’m just hooked – line and sinker. No matter what the age, all men have a 12-year-old boy lurking within their soul. Moore and Remender manage to extract that young spirit and distill its essence into 22 pages of violence, humor and gore. God bless them.

it’s been a while since i’ve posted actual ART on this damn thing. Schedule’s been hairy for a while, and i’ve been eeking out rough cover colors just in time for solicits, and then revisiting them just in time to eek out the finals for print.
anyway, here are a couple new Fear Agent covers for the new (and final) mini, Out Of Step, which starts hitting shelves this Wednesday!

My “Comics on Tees” shirt design for Threadless unveiled!
Posted: 22nd July 2010 by Tony in general newsWhen Jill Thompson asked me to join this project with herself, Cliff Chiang, and Art Balthazar, I was very excited. Threadless is a mainstay around my house, and the other contributors are all professionals I’ve known and admired for quite some time. But then there was the reality of standing beside those fine folks, and with the company that brings so many great shirt designs to life, and when that hit me, I was actually pretty terrified. It was a fun challenge to tell the story at hand and still concoct a design that I thought people would actually want to wear. A bit out of my comfort zone, to be sure, but i got to do what i do best– zombies! I hope you guys enjoy it.

AMC recently released this motion comic based on my stuff, as seen on their Walking Dead video channel:
The animation is by Juice Films, who did The Watchmen’s motion comic.
